What's the difference between V3 and High Top?

The Apex Power V3 is a low-top design that provides maximum freedom of movement and ground feel. It's ideal for lifters who prioritize proprioception and natural foot mechanics.

The Apex Power High Top adds extended collar height for additional ankle support and sensory feedback. Developed with powerlifter David Woolson, it's designed for lifters who prefer more ankle stability during heavy squats while maintaining the barefoot design principles.

Both styles feature the same 3.5mm outsole, wide toe box, Viziun Grip 2.0 technology, and sustainable construction.

Are Avancus shoes IPF approved?

Yes, all Avancus Apex Power shoes are IPF (International Powerlifting Federation) compliant and approved for competition use. The low-top V3 models and High Top models meet IPF footwear specifications for powerlifting competitions across Europe and internationally.

What is Viziun Grip Technology?

Viziun Grip 2.0 is our proprietary rubber compound engineered specifically for powerlifting performance. How do Avancus shoes fit?

Avancus shoes are designed with a wide, anatomical toe box that allows your toes to spread naturally. Most lifters find they fit true to size in length, but with significantly more width than traditional athletic shoes.

If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit. The upper material is engineered to conform to your foot over time while maintaining structural support.

Can I use these for squats, bench press and deadlifts?

Absolutely. Avancus powerlifting shoes are designed specifically for the squat, bench press, and deadlift. The ultra-thin 3.5mm sole minimizes range of motion for deadlifts while providing stable, grounded support for squats. The zero-drop platform and wide toe box promote proper mechanics for all three powerlifting movements.

Many lifters use Avancus shoes for all training and competition lifts. Some prefer to deadlift in socks or slippers for minimal stack height, but the Apex Power's thin sole makes it an excellent choice for mixed training sessions.
